Great Basin Water is excited to announce the launch of our new online payment portal to better serve you. We are using a new secure payment provider for paying your bill online, viewing bills, signing up for autopay, and many other features, including paperless billing.

What this means for you:

  • You will need to create a new account with our new payment system to continue making online payments.

  • For the best experience, use your most recent bill for your account number, the current bill amount (the site will ask for "Last Bill", which refers to the most recent bill you received in the mail), or your last name as it is spelled. (Hint- if it's wrong, please call us so we can fix it).

  • Your previous account and stored payment information will not be transferred automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to pay online? Can I still pay with a check?

Absolutely not. Online payments are optional, but many customers prefer the convenience of paying online and knowing their bill is taken care of. You may continue to mail a check or pay in person.

If you create an online account, you’ll be able to view your bill as soon as your new meter read is entered, rather than waiting for the mail. This allows you to send or drop off a check before the 20th if you choose. You’ll also have the option to pay online using a checking account.

Do I have to have an online account?

No, an online account is not required. However, many customers choose to create one because it saves time and provides additional convenience. With an online account, you can view your bill as soon as it’s ready (24/7), go paperless, and make or schedule payments at your convenience.

Beginning March 1st, customers may choose between paperless billing (the online account) or an optional paper billing service. The optional paper billing service, which includes printing and mailing a paper bill, is available for $5 per billing cycle. Billing statements will be provided electronically to all customers who establish an online account. Customers who do not wish to receive the optional paper billing service must select the “Go Paperless” option within their online account or notify our office so that we may update their preference accordingly.

Why am I seeing a fee when I pay my bill?

Online payments are processed through a secure third-party company who charges a fee for their service. The fee structure varies based on the payment method and amount paid, with credit and debit card payments subject to a minimum processing fee of $2.95, calculated based on the payment amount. Payments made using a checking account (ACH) are subject to a flat $2.00 fee.

If you prefer to avoid paying these fees, you may continue to pay by mailing a check to:

Great Basin Water
3035 Rickenbacker
Pasco, WA 99301

Please allow enough time for mailed payments to be received by the 20th of the month to avoid a late fee.

Can I use Auto Pay with the new online portal?

Yes. To enroll in Auto Pay, you’ll need to create an online account and provide a valid email address. Once your account is set up, you can choose the payment date that works best for you. Some customers select the due date, but you may choose an earlier date if you prefer. Payments will then process each month automatically using your selected date and payment method, which can be updated at any time.

For customers currently enrolled in Auto Pay, please re-enroll on your new online account. Those who do not want an online account, please contact the office, as we will need some additional information to continue this service.

How can I avoid all potential fees and charges?

The easiest way to avoid additional charges is to create an online account and choose paperless billing. This lets you see your bill the moment it’s ready and pay or schedule payments without relying on mail timing.

If you prefer not to pay online, you’re always welcome to send a paper check. Just be sure it arrives by the 20th of the month to avoid a late fee.

And while we love our local mail carriers, mail delivery has had a few plot twists lately. Between delays and the occasional unexpected interruption, waiting for a paper bill can sometimes feel like a suspense novel. An online account skips the waiting and lets you know exactly where your balance stands, no cliffhanger required.
